Yes, during grid power outages our system will continue to use all the electricity available from the Solar Panels.
Hot water cylinders only heat to 60 °C by mains power because any temperature hotter than this wastes mains power. However Sol•Flare is able to heat water to a much higher temperature (70 °C or more) with the solar power, which effectively increases the storage capacity of your HWC by more than 20%. We all love longer showers for no additional cost !!
Yes, you will still have piping hot water. If solar generation is low because of weather conditions, the Sol•Flare will seamlessly boost your hot water from mains power. Solar is always prioritised so that you minimise use of mains power.
