Like so many people, we were looking at ways to minimise Electricity costs for our 6 person household. A Hybrid solar system with 14 panels costing about $35k was a big commitment but then we came across One Energy Solar-Electric Hot Water System. About one third of our total energy cost was for providing hot water alone but we found that we can put a big dent in that for only around $6 or $7k with a six panel solar installation which took less than a day to install and with no alterations to domestic plumbing or the existing immersion heater. It's winter at present so each day we have one hour of boost from the grid at cheapest rate. We enjoy ample hot water. The solar system is so efficient and it's so manageable with the App which comes with the Controller. Based upon our experience so far, we think we'll be adding an additional Hot Water Cylinder this summer to take full advantage of the output from the solar panels and this would obviate any boost from the grid being required. The OneEnergy system is an absolute winner for a relatively small investment. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't have one.

I had six solar panels recently installed and our first monthly power account only cost $8.30 for the month, which would have normally been about $65 (plus GST) So I'm extremely pleased! The whole process to procure and have it installed was easy and any questions or queries were always promptly answered by both the call centre and the installer. Highly recommended and only wish I had done this sooner to take advantage of the free solar energy!

We have had our 6 panel solar hot water system installed for 3 weeks and we could not be more pleased. During that time AC power has only operated once for Legionella protection. Our 2 person household shower night and morning and there has been ample “free” hot water. The online App is easy to understand and provides great information.
